Background:
HepatitisB Virus (HBV) infection induces a disease state characterised by liver damage,inflammation and viral persistence. Infection also increases the risk ofhepatocellular carcinoma. HBV belongs to the Hepadnaviridae family of viruses.Its genome consists of partially double stranded circular DNA. The DNA isenclosed in a nucleocapsid, or core antigen (HBcAg), which is surrounded by aspherical envelope (surface antigen or HBsAg). The core antigen shares itssequences with the e antigen (HBeAg) but no cross reactivity between the twoproteins has been observed. The HBV genome also encodes a DNA polymerase thatalso acts as a reverse transcriptase.

Storage: Store at -20℃ for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thawcycles. The lyophilized antibody is stableat room temperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20℃. When reconstitutedin sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody, the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4 ℃
